Thanksgiving is on Thursday, and the holiday weekend will see many Guthrie County entities closed in observance.
The Guthrie Center City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday, with recycling services being moved to Friday. Mary J Barnett Memorial Library will also be closed Thursday and Friday as well in Guthrie Center. The Panora City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday, with recycling being delayed to Saturday, and trash services operating as normal today. The Panora Public Library will close at 4pm on Wednesday, and stay closed on Thursday and Friday.
The Stuart City Hall and Stuart Municipal Utilities will both be closed Thursday and Friday, with the garbage schedule to remain unchanged, and Stuart Public Library to be closed Thursday through Saturday in observance of the holiday. For entities in the County, Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be closed Wednesday through Friday, and the Guthrie County Courthouse will be closed on Thanksgiving and the following day.
