Paton-Churdan hosts Orient-Macksburg tonight in non-conference girls’ basketball in Churdan to begin the 2024-25 season for both teams. Tom Kennedy is the coach of the Rockets, who have 13 girls out for the sport, the highest number at P-C in recent seasons. Sophomore Alivya Smith played in 18 games last season and averaged more than nine points as well as seven rebounds to lead the team in both categories. The Rockets were 0-21 last season.

O-M was a 58-38 winner over the Rockets last season and they are led by junior Emma Boswell with an average of more than 19 points per game a season ago. O-M had 11 wins and 12 losses last season.
