The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board discussed the results of the fiscal year 2023 audit report, agreeing to return to the topic at the next meeting after reviewing the County Employee Handbook. They also heard about the recent Emergency Management Agency Commission meeting from Board Chair Supervisor JD Kuster and Board Vice Chair Supervisors Maggie Armstron, where Adair and Guthrie County EMA Coordinator Jeremy Cooper relayed information, along with the activities that have been going on since the May 21st tornado that devastated Greenfield and parts of rural Adair County.

Armstrong added that Cooper mentioned there would need to be a budget amendment, due to the volume of activity and oversight that has occurred, along with a review of what could and could not be refunded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency with the recovery efforts of the tornadoes.
