The Adair County 4-H Youth Council will be putting together free holiday meal boxes.

Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Councilor Caroline Savage says that the Youth Council was awarded Ignite the Spirit, which is a provision of pork loins from Iowa Select Farms, to be used to make holiday meal boxes that will be delivered throughout the county. She adds that the Adair County Hot-Shots, one of the 4-H groups, was also awarded Ignite the Spirit, and will be having a free meal at the Adair County Fair Grounds in the 4-H building on December 11th. Savage mentions that both groups applied for this opportunity, because they wanted to find a way to show their appreciation, and give back to the community.
