A yearly winter holiday tradition is coming up soon with a Perry organization.

The Carnegie Library Museum will be holding its 10th Annual Festival of Trees celebration, starting Saturday and running through early January. Museum Librarian Candi Coffin mentions that approximately 50 local businesses will be involved in decorating trees to be on display. She mentions that the trees will be unique in their own ways.

“Some people decorate wreaths, some of them are nativity sets, we have a section that is nothing but Santa Clause’s from around the world, there is a display that is a city, a Christmas village kind of thing. So it just depends, we’ve got a wide variety of things here.”

Coffin announces that 10 new businesses will be joining this year, and is happy to see the event growing. Coffin adds that the event is free and displays will be available through January 4th for people to come vote on their favorite trees.
