With the football season over for the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs, six Mustang athletes have been named on the 2024 Class 4A All District 2nd Team for football. Mustang athletes: Hudson Heidgerken, Sam Harbaugh, Chase Heitland, Ryan Pertzsch, Caden Mayfield and Sampson Johannsen were all recognized for their hard work and dedication on the field this season.

Heidgerken, Harbaugh, and Heitland were all placed on the offensive side of the All District 2nd Team. Coach Heitland praised Harbaugh for being the teams best lineman, stating that his placement on the 2nd team in the lineman position is rightfully deserved.

Defensively, Mustangs Pertzsch, Mayfield, and Johannsen claimed their place on the All District 2nd Team. Heitland expressed that it would be Pertzsch on the line creating the gaps for Connor Stolpe, that helped Stolpe receive his placement on the All District 1st Team.

Now waiting until the summer, coach Heitland and his returning Mustangs look to improve during the offseason to list more names on the All District teams next season.
