The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The board spent some time discussing the open house plan in relation to the new administration building in Adel. Supervisor Mark Hanson wanted to include a ribbon cutting prior to the open house on December 6th. Supervisor Chair Brad Golightly pointed out that he didn’t want to interfere with the City of Adel’s Tree Lighting event, which is on the same night, but would be fine with having an open house before the tree lighting takes place. No formal action took place due to the absence of Supervisor Kim Chapman.
Following that, there was a public hearing on a resolution for the fiscal year 2025 budget amendment where Finance Director Rob Tietz said that $14,000,000 will be added to the 2025 budget, with $1,600,000 going to the General Basic fund. The only items on the agenda that were approved included resolutions to disallow and allow Family Farm Tax Credits as presented, and a resolution to canvass a second tier for the City of Woodward election. The meeting ended with an Emergency Management Services workshop as well as a district draining trustees meeting.
