After a full week of practice under their belt, head coach Dan Durivenga and his Wildcats girls excitingly wait for tonight’s scrimmage against the Atlantic Trojans.
While practices and working on the fundamentals are important, coach Durivenga explained why scrimmages and unofficial competitions are very important towards the success of this Wildcat team. “I always like this because it gets them into the uniform and a game like situation and gets the nerves a little bit, plus we have real officials instead of you know her practice ones where you say ‘that could be foul’ or whatever because we don’t stop it very much, And just get some like a real game situation, shot clock for the younger kids. That’s going to be brand new, just everything that is like a game situation as well.”
Eagerly awaiting some new competition, the Wildcat girls basketball team travels to Atlantic for the Achieve scrimmage against the Trojans. The action is set to begin tonight at 6:30pm.
