As the holiday season draws closer, a drive for those in need is getting ready to start.

New Opportunities Family Development Coordinator Rhonda Huggins says that they are preparing for the holidays, partnering with the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that donated toys need to be new and kept in their original packaging, and adds where those toys can be dropped off.

“Currently we have a box for Toys for Tots located in the lobby here in our building, which is the City Hall for Guthrie Center.”

Huggins mentions that students at Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Schools are also collecting toys to donate. She adds that toys can be left in the box at their office in Guthrie Center City Hall during the week from 8am to 4pm until December 11th.
