A baseball player from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School has made his announcement as to where he will be playing collegiately.

ADM senior Jaxson Book has verbally committed to Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge following his high school senior season coming up in 2025. Book primarily played behind the plate as the catcher for the Tigers during the 2024 season where he recorded a team-high of 184 putouts. He also pitched in five games for a total of 15 innings, allowed 20 hits, 17 runs, and struck out 15 batters. 

In the 2024 season offensively, Book stepped up to the plate 79 times, achieving 19 hits, (14 singles and five doubles), with six Runners Batted In (RBI’s) and scored 15 runs on the year. Book will return for his senior season in 2025 to play under his dad, Jason, who is the head coach.
