The Guthrie County Hospital Auxiliary is hosting their bi-annual baked potato bar and bake sale fundraiser November 21st.
The bake sale and baked potato bar will start at 10:30am and end at 1pm at the Guthrie Activity Center on State Street in Guthrie Center. Carryout is available for the free will donation baked potato bar. Guthrie County Hospital Marketing Coordinator Emily Irwin says that the event started as a fundraiser for the Guthrie County Hospital Foundation a few years ago, and it was well received by employees and the community. She mentions that the Foundation eventually decided to pursue other fundraising opportunities, and the Auxiliary took over.
Irwin adds that members of the Auxiliary provide the baked goods for the sale, and that many have told them that the baked items are great desserts, and also make great gifts for holiday gatherings. Proceeds from the event will help the Auxiliary to purchase new equipment and other needs for the different departments of and clinics associated with the hospital.
