Perry swimming as been on a roll the last five years.  The Jayettes have qualified for the State Meet in Marshalltown each of those years.  A big part of that has been Quin Mahler-Moreno, who has swam at State all four years in high school.  The senior will swim the 500 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke today.  Also, taking the pool today is Aleah Karolus.  The sophomore will swim the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle today.  Today’s races are prelims with the fastest times advancing to the finals tomorrow.  The relay races will be swam tomorrow.  The Jayettes will have two teams in action for that in Marshalltown.  The 400 Freestyle Relay will feature Aleah Karolus, Cali Hernandez, Ellie Hughes and Quin Mahler-Moreno.  The other relay Perry will swim in the 200 Medley Relay.  Harper Peterson, Quin Mahler-Moreno, Cali Hernandez and Aleah Karolus will swim that one.  The action begins today at 11A at the YMCA in Marshalltown.  Swimming is a unique sport where all schools compete in the same class regardless of enrollment.
