The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball team came out on top of the Raccoon River Conference for the second consecutive year, but Head Coach Trevor Irwin admits it wasn’t easy.

Irwin tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the conference is filled with tremendous competition, which should not be taken lightly. He notes that if an opponent scores three or more points in a row during a set, then that could be costly. Irwin recognizes that the last couple of years, RRC teams are throwing everything they have at ADM.

“We’ve had a target on our back. People are coming out (and) playing their best volleyball against us, and how can we focus on us and do what we can do. And I think our girls do a really good job at showing that, but also vocalizing that as one of our team focuses as well.”

The Tigers won the RRC in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, going a perfect 8-0 inside the division both years. The 2024 season ended against Glenwood in the Class 4A Region 7 Championship on October 29th.
