Three athletes from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School will participate in the state swim and dive meet in Marshalltown tomorrow.

Sophomore Finlee Burns, plus Juniors Emma Popp and Eliza Schmidt are making final preparations ahead of their last meet of the season. The three individuals are apart of ADM’s affiliate, Waukee High School and will battle in different events. Burns will race in the 50 meter freestyle, the 100 meter butterfly, the 200 meter freestyle relay, and the 400 meter freestyle relay. Popp will be in the 200 meter individual medley, 200 meter medley relay, and the 100 meter backstroke. Schmidt is a diver, who will be competing alongside teammate Neelie Streit. 

The state preliminary swim meet will be held tomorrow at 11am, with the finals taking place on Saturday at noon. For the state diving meet, the competition will start at 4:30pm tomorrow. Both the swim and dive meet is happening at the Marshalltown YMCA/YWCA, 108 Washington Street.
