The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Esports team had their season come to an end on Tuesday in the first round of the substate playoffs.

The Tigers took on Waterloo East, playing Nintendo’s game “Super Smash Bros,” as ADM was ranked ninth and the Trojans were eighth. The Tigers battled with Waterloo East winning the first match, and despite a great second game from ADM, the Trojans were able to prevail and move on. The Tigers finished with an overall record of 5-3, with wins over Clear Lake, Urbandale, Waukee Northwest, Waukee, and Nevada.
