Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School has been representing well during the 2024 swimming and diving season.

ADM coops with Waukee High School for pool activity as they have four young women part of the 30 athletes. The Tigers have Freshman Amanda Gustafson, Sophomore Finlee Burns, Junior Emma Popp, and Junior Eliza Schmidt. Gustafson, Burns, and Popp all swim, while Schmidt dives, and Head Coach Emma Ashman tells Raccoon Valley Radio that all the girls bring a great energy to the team. Burns, Popp, and Schmidt advanced to the state tournament this weekend. Even though Gustafson didn’t get there, Ashman notes that she was a positive light during the year.

“Man, she was a great leader for us, hard worker, and just great character as well as the other three girls from ADM, they also show great character, that’s essential within our team.”

Ashman highlights that of the 30 athletes (26 swimmers and four divers), 11 will be competing at the swim and dive meet in Marshalltown on Friday and Saturday, including ADM’s Schmidt, Burns, and Popp.
