Perry swimming is entering their final stretch.  They Jayettes have Regional play on Saturday in Johnston.  Perry is hopeful to have numerous girls qualify for State.  Each of those girls have different ways of getting prepared mentally.  Quin Mahler-Moreno, one of two seniors on the team, shares how she prepares.  “To me it’s really important to visualize my races before the day of the competition so that the day I feel prepared and ready to go.”  Perry swimming also relies on numerous underclassmen like Aleah Karolus.  “I’m really just focusing on all of my technique since I do shorter races any mistakes will could cost the race so I’m just trying to hone in on like the starts the turns and just the stroke in general.”  Also, Cali Hernandez.  “I just look back on all the technique everything I’ve learned all of the training I’ve done and just try to do my best to memorize that and just really go through it before the race.”

The next meet for Perry is Saturday in Johnston.  This is the Regional meet as the fastest times will qualify for the State meet next week in Marshalltown.
