Jefferson Matters recently announced the addition of a new office coordinator.
Kevin Paulsen has been in Jefferson since 1999, after moving from the Lake City area where he was a school teacher for seven years, and then taught 25 more years in the Jefferson-Scranton, Greene County school system until he retired this past May. Following retirement, the Ogden native says he was working at Deal’s Orchard part-time this past season, but was excited when he got the job posting for Jefferson Matters Office Coordinator. He describes what he likes about Jefferson Matters and how he wanted to be a part of the organization.
“The ability of this group to impact our community and our surrounding area in so many ways. It’s not a one trick pony, I guess for a lack of a better term. Our teams are varied in very specific in what they do, but it can touch so many areas of our, really our county not just Jefferson in general, but obviously our focus is there. But I think when Jefferson thrives, the county thrives as well.”
Paulsen is looking forward to learning more about the Main Street program and the different teams within Jefferson Matters. Paulsen will be working 10am-4pm Monday through Friday at the Welcome Center.
