The 14th Annual Art on the Prairie Festival is coming up this weekend, as Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti highlights the distinct aspects of it.

Pasutti tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the event is one of her favorite events that the chamber is apart of. She explains that the festival celebrates art, music, and poetry, but affirms that the historic downtown area of Perry is the glue that brings it all together.

“With the artists’ venues being inside the historic buildings, it’s just a very unique atmosphere compared to a bunch of booths on the street. It’s just a very special festival to showcase our downtown, to bring people into Perry, and then the amazing work that the committee does to bring really quality artists, and make a really engaging festival at all the different activities, all the different locations with the art, music, poetry, kids activities, so many different things over the weekend, there’s something for everyone.”

Pasutti is looking forward to seeing the variety of artwork that will be on display this year. The festival is free and open to the public, happening this Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, 10am to 4pm along 2nd Street in Perry.
