Oct. 26th

Jeffrey O’Neill, Des Moines, was traveling in the construction zone on Hwy 17 at Granger, when another vehicle was proceeding through the one way construction zone in the opposite direction. This cause Mr. O’Neill to take evasive action and he drove into the roundabout area, which was still under construction.  No injuries were reported and he was about to remove the vehicle himself.  Damage was estimated at $5000.

Nov. 1st

Kelsey Seronko, age 35, 1807 5th St, Perry, was arrested on two warrants for Failure To Appear.  The original charges were Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Emerson Griffin, age 20, 115 N. Howard St, Indianola, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.

Antwoine Taylor, age 40, 2221 37th St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge is Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Timothy Miller, age 33, address unknown, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Violation Of Probation.

Benjamin Willrich, Dallas Center, was driving on 240th Street at U Ave.  He was stopped, to make a turn onto U Ave when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle driven by a juvenile.  The juvenile driver was checked by EMS on the scene, but not transported.  Mr. Willrich did not report any injuries and damage to his vehicle was estimated at $3000.  Damage to the juvenile’s vehicle was estimated at $5000.  The juvenile was cited for Failure To Maintain Control.

Nov. 2nd

Jose Ayala Sanchez, age 30, 1120 11th St, Perry, was arrested for Contempt-Violation Of No Contact Order and Operating While Under The Influence.  He was also cited for Failure To Provide Proof Of Financial Liability, Open Container and No Valid Driver’s License.

Alec Schoening, La Vista, NE, was driving on I80 near the 100 mile marker, when he hit a deer.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10000,  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Nov. 3rd

Courtney Norton, age 33, 309 NW 18th St, Ankeny, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.  She was driving on Main Street in Van Meter and failed to navigate a turn onto Hazel St.  She went into the ditch.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $10000.

Vincente Garcia, age 25, 300 1st Ave, Bagley, was arrested for Operate Vehicle Without Owners Consent.  He was also cited for Driving In Improper Lane, Failure To Maintain Control and No Valid Drivers License.  He was driving a vehicle in the 16500 block of F Ave, when he lost control and went into a ditch, striking a transport hose that was in the ditch.  No injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4000.  Damage to the transport hose was estimated at $9000.

Zachary Ernst, age 26, 120 Elm St, Van Meter, was arrested for Operating While Under The Influence.

Nov. 4th

Amber Risius, Hubbard, was traveling on I80 near the 109 mile marker, when she became distracted and hit a semi driven by Nasimjoni Mahmadsaid, Stafford, TX.  No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $500 to the semi.  Ms. Risius’ vehicle sustained an estimated $10000 and was towed from the scene.  Ms. Risius was cited for Failure To Maintain Control.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
