The AC/GC Chargers were in action Saturday, as the cross country teams competed in their state meets.

The girls team took 11th place overall, while the boys team secured a 10th place finish. Gavin Sloss and Preston Kent led the boys team, finishing in times of 17 minutes 24 seconds and 17 minutes 26.5 seconds respectively. Noah Kading was the third scoring member of the team with a time of 17 minutes 46 seconds, with Tate Fever following with a time of 18 minutes 9.3 seconds. Jonny Kading finished in 18 minutes 20.4 seconds, while Brody Beeler had a time of 18 minutes 39.5 seconds and Jameson Pfrang finished in 20 minutes 8.3 seconds.

Ava Campbell and Cadence Peterson led the girls team, finishing with times of 20 minutes 8.6 seconds and 21 minus 39. 9 seconds respectively. Jayla Hoover finished in 21 minutes 40.5 seconds, while Adalyn Benson finished with a time of 21 minutes 55.2 seconds. Paige Van Meter finished in 23 minutes 28.2 seconds, while Emmarae Ellis had a time of 23 minutes 38 seconds, and Lillie Lauzon finished with a time of 24 minutes 21.5 seconds.

Both Noah and Johnny Kading, along with Beeler, Pfrang, Hoover, and Ellis finished with new personal records, while Fever, Benson and Van Meter finished with season bests.
