Greene County High School senior Noah Hinote wrapped up his cross-country career Saturday afternoon by finishing in 54th place in the Class 2A boys’ portion of the State Meet. The event was held at Lakeside Golf Course/Kennedy Park north of Ft. Dodge. Hinote was timed in 17 minutes, 28 seconds for the five kilometers (3.1 miles) in his third and final State Meet. He ran in Class 3A as a junior and 2A both this year and in 2022. The placing on Saturday was Hinote’s highest in the three State races, but his 2023 effort was one second faster than this year.

Ram Coach Jeff Lamoureux told Raccoon Valley Radio Hinote ran a season best time in his final high school cross-country race. Noah was the lone State Qualifier for the Rams.
