It’s Greene County taking on unbeaten and second rated PCM in Monroe tonight in a Round of 16 Class 2A football playoff game. The Mustangs are 9-0 and average more than 40 points per game while the Rams are 5-4 with an offensive average about half of what PCM scores.
The fact that the Rams are still playing football is November is no small accomplishment after being 2-4 six games into the eight game regular season. Head coach Caden Duncan told Raccoon Valley Radio, “To be two and four and make it to the Round of 16 is a pretty good accomplishment, especially considering all the adversity and things we could have used as excuses that could have stopped us. It’s a really big accomplishment and I’m really proud of the players and my assistant coaches for really pushing through and making it happen. We’re not going to be satisfied with that by any means, but it’s definitely something to be proud of, for sure.”
Kickoff tonight is at 7 o’clock on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
