The Class 4A Football Playoffs start tonight, as Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School makes the long road trip to Spencer.

It’s the battle of the Tigers as ADM concluded the 2024 season 7-2 with losses to Lewis Central and North Polk, while Spencer went 6-3, losing to Humboldt, Spirit Lake, and Fort Dodge. There isn’t much familiarity between the teams as Spencer won the only meeting 48-19 in 2012.

This season, ADM’s Junior Quarterback Hudson Shull is 89/154 for 1,203 passing yards resulting in 12 touchdowns as well as rushing for 846 yards and 13 TDs. Spencer’s Senior QB Cael Bruning is 33/73 with 511 passing yards and eight TDs. He has also ran for 299 yards and scored three TDs with his legs. The game is set to kick off at 7pm from Spencer High School, 800 East 3rd Street, in Spencer, IA. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6pm.
