Two individuals from Urbandale were allegedly caught trespassing onto a home in Adel this past Sunday.
According to court documents, 65-year-old Randal Ross Higgins and 66-year-old Michael Kevin Dickey went into a private property in the 25000 Block of Highway 6 in Adel Sunday afternoon around 3:40pm. Allegedly, Dickey pushed the victim, shut the trunk of a vehicle door on him, and also knocked a phone out of his hand. Dickey and Higgins fled the scene but were later found by officers with the Adel Police Department, who identified the stolen items, which both suspects admitted to taking the items that were worth less than $300
Dickey and Higgins were both arrested and charged with a Class C Felony of 2nd Degree robbery and a Class D Felony of 3rd Degree burglary. Additionally, Dickey was cited for an aggravated misdemeanor of 3rd Degree Theft and Dickey had a simple misdemeanor additional charge for 5th Degree theft. Both Dickey and Higgins are being held in the Dallas County Jail with a cash or surety bond set at $15,000 each. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring more information as it becomes official.
