Lily Myers is just one day away from running at the State XC Meet in Fort Dodge. She is the first girl from Perry to do so since 2020. The sophomore qualified in 12th place last week at the Iowa State Cross Country Course in Ames where she ran her fastest time of the year. Lily really enjoyed the course in Ames. “It was really nice. It was like rolling hills and I’m a hill person. I do good on the hilly courses so that was good and the grass is pretty soft . It’s a cross country course so like it’s kept in good condition.” She also added her goal for the meet tomorrow. “I just hope to run a good time and I’ve never ran at that course before so we don’t know what it looks like. I just hope I feel good for my race and I have a good race.” The meet begins at 10:30A at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge. Tickets must be purchased at Go Bound ahead of time and are $13.
