Some students at Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School were selected to head to the All-State Music Festival.
Vocal Director Kelsey Dinkla says that they went to Atlantic last Saturday for the auditions, and she is excited that a few students were able to move on to All-State. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio how the students were selected.
“Ten vocal students and one band student auditioned for Iowa’s All-State Chorus and obviously Iowa’s All-State Band. Of those ten kids, three of mine were selected for a recall and then of those three, two of them were then selected for All-State.”
Dinkla mentions that the three who were recalled were Carter Dinkla, Natalie Dinkla and Rohnin Grasty, and that the two that will be in Ames are Carter Dinkla and Grasty. The All-State Music Festival is from November 21st to 23rd at Hilton Coliseum on Iowa State University campus in Ames.
