A special Halloween themed program is coming up at the Perry Public Library tomorrow.
Perry Youth Service Librarian Laura Pieper invites all little ghosts and goblins to a children’s Halloween party tomorrow afternoon from 4-5pm. She points out one activity last year that was changed this year is not painting real pumpkins.
“Like painting and decorating those little foam squishy pumpkins. So these pumpkins you can actually keep and put on the mantle and keep forever. We’ll make some Halloween masks, we’ll play some creepy ‘what’s in the box,’ and I’m going to do some Halloween themed events for that one.”
The party is happening for children ages 2-11 years old for free. Pieper adds that costumes are encouraged to be worn, but are not required. No registration is needed and any questions can be directed to the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569.
