The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
Representatives with the City of Van Meter spoke to the board about using the Microsoft Data Center to review road improvements in their community. City officials were asking to do some upgrading with the roundabouts next year. Supervisor Kim Chapman and Chair Brad Golightly wanted to have more information before moving forward with the request.
The items on the agenda that the board did approve included an Adel Women’s Club Courthouse lawn event request, and a resolution for a J.R. Holdings withdrawal from agricultural areas. Also, four operating transfers were approved for a total of $3,678,378 from the General Basic Fund into the Conservation Fund, then $2,912,177 from the Rural Services Basic Fund to the Secondary Roads Fund and a terminated Tyson Development Agreement between the Dallas County Supervisors and Tyson Fresh Meat Incorporated was approved. The board concluded the meeting with a drainage district meeting.
