The Perry Firefighters Association recently held their fall harvest grab-n-go dinner, raising money to help purchase equipment.

Perry Fire Chief Grason Hill tells Raccoon Valley Radio that $550 was donated from the event this past Friday, October 18th. He explains that the fire department is anticipating a new fire truck coming into the station by mid-November. Hill says he was surprised at the turnout of people that attended the grab-n-go dinner, especially with the event competing with school sports activities.

He emphasizes that the department is planning to do more fundraising programs to gather money in order to supply the new incoming fire truck with fans, hand tools, and hoses.
