A holiday boon will be provided to some of those who use the Guthrie County Food Pantry in Guthrie Center.

New Opportunities Family Development Coordinator Rhonda Huggins says that they will once again be able to provide some Thanksgiving baskets for individuals who use the food pantry. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio how the baskets will be put together.

“So one of the churches here in Guthrie Center is graciously gonna pick up the tab for turkeys. And then the ACGC high school kids are going to provide the stuff that goes in the box with the turkeys.”

Huggins mentions that to get a basket, individuals must be clients of the food pantry, and sign up beforehand as there will be a limited number of baskets that can be made.
