The Drug Enforcement Administration’s Drug Take Back Day is today, and the Perry Police Department is one of those participating locations.
Assistant Police Chief Jim Archer says from 10am-2pm today, anyone can drop off expired or unwanted prescription and over the counter medications with no questions asked. Archer tells Raccoon Valley Radio that items must be put inside of a bag prior to delivering to the department, and neither inhalers or needles will be accepted. He instructs people to drive around to the garage doors, located on the south side of the building, and volunteers will help pick up materials.
