Oct. 21st

Ellen Qualls, Adel, was traveling on Hwy 44, waiting to turn onto R Ave, when a vehicle driven by Debra Bone, Dallas Center, entered the intersection causing a collision.  No injuries were reported and damage to Ms. Qualls car was estimated at $5000.  Damage to Ms. Bone’s car was estimated at $3000.  Ms. Bone was issued a citation for Failure To Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right Of Way.

Chelsea Atkins, Panora, was traveling east on Hwy 6 at R Ave, when a vehicle driven by Trent Townsley, Newton, entered the highway from R Ave and caused a collision.  Both occupants in Mr. Townsley’s vehicle were taken to the hospital to evaluate any injuries.  Both occupants of Ms. Atkins vehicle were checked by EMS on the scene and declined transport to the hospital.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  Mr. Townsley was issued a citation for Failure To Obey Stop Sign And Yield Right Of Way.

Reynaldo Lopez Alvarez, Scranton, was driving on Hwy 141 near O Ave, when he said he swerved for a deer in the road.  When he switch lanes trying to avoid a deer, he ran into the back of a semi hauling grain driven by Karl Harris, Bouton.  Mr. Harris was taken to Dallas County Hospital to evaluate any injuries.  Mr. Alvarez refused EMS on the scene.  Damage to Mr. Harris’ semi was estimated at $1500.  Damage to Mr. Alvarez car was estimated at $10000.

Tiffany Stockbauer, age 40, 1353 York St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Tina Betts, age 45, 2385 210th Street, Audubon, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Theft 4th Degree.

Jennie Hart, age 72, 206 Laurel St, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving while License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.

Eduardo Aguilar, age 31, Virginia Ave, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Eluding.

Oct. 22nd

Gator Gifford, age 38, 950 67th St, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Driving While Barred.

Seth Watts, age 34, 675 3rd St, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear.  The original charge was Public Intoxication.  He was also arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.

A vehicle, with an unknown driver, went into a ditch near 19000 block of Kenwood Place.  It struck a power pole, causing the lines to come down and power to go out.  A search for the driver turned up nothing at this time.  An investigation is ongoing.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
