The Perry Community School District is coming out with a brand new application to help with communication methods with families.

Perry Superintendent Clark Wicks tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the district is excited to release a new app called “Parent Square.” He illustrates that this will be a new way to disclose information with parents about school happenings.

“Whether it be individual teachers sending out messages to their particular group. Maybe it could be a district message, maybe it could be a message about closing the school because of snow. We want to emphasize all of the great things that are going on in not only the classroom, but (the) activities.”

Wicks believes that the platform will be beneficial for the Perry School District, as he says other Iowa schools have implemented it into their system. He invites people to sign up for the application on their cell phones or computers, and that the district is eyeing November 1st as the launch date to incorporate it within the school district.
