Two semis with grain trailers were involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Greene County that resulted in minor injuries.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy, Greene County Ambulance and the Jefferson Fire Department responded to the scene at 12:28pm on Iowa Highway 4 and 320th Street. A semi with a grain trailer was pulled off to the shoulder of the northbound lane on the highway. The driver, Richie Tague of Coon Rapids had started pulling out in front of another northbound semi with a grain trailer that was driven by Timothy Cummings of Grand Junction and was trying to pass, when the two semis hit each other. 

The Sheriff’s Office reports that both semis were totaled in the crash and one of the drivers was transported to Greene County Medical Center with minor injuries. Tague was cited for failure to signal.
