The high school volleyball regular season ended on Saturday for the Paton-Churdan volleyball team. Coach Makayla Sparr’s Rockets met Ar-We-Va (Westside) and West Harrison (Mondamin) in the Rolling Valley Activities Conference tournament in Dunlap hosted by Boyer Valley. The Rockets lost to AWV 18-21, 12-21, then fell to WH 13-21, 18-21. P-C ends the regular season with 3-12 record.

Coach Sparr reports junior Mia Russell had seven kills vs. AWV and sophomore Alivya Smith recorded 10 digs. Senior Grace Cullum and Russell each had two ace serves.

The match vs. WH saw sophomore Ella Tasler lead the team in digs with 13 while Russell had four kills and a pair of ace serves.

P-C hosts Madrid tomorrow in Churdan at 7 p.m. in a Class 1A Region 5 first round contest to begin the postseason.
