The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team walked away with their seventh win of the 2024 season following a 35-31 victory over Indianola.

The Tigers Junior Quarterback Hudson Shull had to overcome an early interception to the Indians Senior Andrew DeWall on the opening drive. Indianola turned it into a six-yard touchdown from Junior QB Asher Brueck to Junior Wide Receiver Jakob Graham to lead 7-0. ADM responded on the ensuing kick off with a 13-yard passing TD from Shull to Senior Wide Receiver Corbin Reed (7-7). After a punt from the Indians, the Tigers regained possession then Shull broke away for a 61-yard rush to put ADM on top 14-7. Before the end of the first quarter, Indianola hit a dart from Brueck to Sophomore Receiver Rylan Hilton for 64 yards to tie things up at 14.

In the second quarter, Shull scored a five yard TD run to put the Tigers up 21-14. The only other score in the quarter was from Indianola’s Brueck on a three-yard run, but after the muffed extra point attempt, ADM still led 21-20 for halftime. In the third quarter, Indians Sophomore Kicker Max Martinez converted on a 20-yard field goal to give Indianola the 23-21 advantage. However, that did not last long as the Tigers started the next drive on their own 17-yard line, which ended in a 30 yard pass to Reed as ADM regained the lead 28-23. Indianola would take the lead prior to the fourth quarter as Hilton was on the receiving end of a 62-yard completion from Brueck, who then rushed in for a three-yard TD, followed by a successful two-point conversion from Junior Running Back Draven Westcott to lead 31-28.

The biggest play of the game came in the fourth quarter with about seven and a half minutes when Senior Jon Hatchitt picked off Brueck to return it 65 yards for a pick six, as the Tigers recaptured the lead 35-31. ADM would pick off Brueck two more times with Senior Talon Harvey and Junior Jackson Pitzen to cement the win.
