On Monday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs cross country team traveled to Maytag Park in Newton for the Little Hawkeye Conference cross country meet. The Mustang boys ran and battled hard, and found great success, placing second just behind the Norwalk Warriors.  Sam Mora would lead the pack for the Mustangs, finishing in 16:54 seconds with Elias Arbuckle just 6 seconds behind his teammate, at 17 minutes. Noah Kerndt would be just one second behind Arbuckle with a time of 17:01.

With a final team score of 61 points, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs cross country team placed second overall at the Little Hawkeye Conference Meet on Monday.
