Assignments for the Oct. 24 State Qualifying Meets around the state were released by the governing bodies of high school sports and the Greene County girls and boys will be at a Class 2A State Qualifying Coed Meet in Red Oak. A total of 14 boys’ squads and thirteen for girls are in the field. Among the rated teams for boys at Red Oak are number 5 Okoboji (Milford), number 6 Sheldon, number 19 Van Meter, and number 20 Red Oak. Top ranked Van Meter leads the girls’ teams in the field with Albia at number 6, and PCM (Monroe) at number 11.

Freshman Rylee Mowrer has led the Greene County girls all season and senior Noah Hinote is the boys’ team leader. Hinote will be aiming for a third straight State Meet Appearance. Start time in Red Oak is 4 p.m.
