The AC/GC Chargers cross country teams are at home once again.

The Chargers are hosting the West Central Activities Conference meet tonight, with the number 11 boys and number seven girls teams able to run their home course. Head Coach Rick Blake mentions how he and the teams feel being able to run the conference meet at home tonight, and the district meet at home next week.

“It’s nice being at home, being in familiar surroundings. We run the course, or parts of it anyway, a lot. We’re kind of at least a couple times a week now lately, we’ve been getting into the course. We didn’t run it quite as much at the beginning of the season, but we’re running it a little more now, and just being as familiar as we can with it.”

There are two athletes for the Chargers ranked individually, one for each division. Preston Kent is ranked 29th for the boys while Ava Campbell is ranked 21st for the girls. The girls start at 5pm, with the boys to follow at 5:30pm.
