Perry football has completed their home portion of the schedule.  The Bluejays have struggled losing their last 4 games, but will be in Knoxville this Friday.  Knoxville and Perry are both still looking for their first win in Districts.  Both teams also own victories over Des Moines Hoover and losses to Nevada and Atlantic.  The Bluejay defense is surrendering over 33 ppg while the Panthers are just a smidge better at over 31 ppg.  Both offenses should have opportunities against these defenses.  Perry will rely on senior QB, Geren Kenney, who leads the team in passing and rushing.  Sophomore RB, Nadir Ouahbi, has stepped up as the season has progressed.  The back rushed for 73 yards and scored his first varsity TD in the loss to Atlantic.  Knoxville leans on the pass to move the ball.  The Panthers have taken to the air on 64% of their offensive plays.  Knoxville has turned to a sophomore at quarterback midway through the year.  Roston McCarty passed for 172 yards in the 70-0 loss to Creston.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 at Randy Wilson Track Friday night.  KDLS and the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will have the coverage at 6:30 with the Perry Hy-Vee Pregame Show.
