It’s Roland-Story (Story City) visiting Greene County in high school volleyball tonight in the high school gym in Jefferson. The Class 3A number 13 rated Norsemen have already clinched at least a tie for the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference title and a win tonight earns R-S the title outright. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams will try and play spoiler and keep their hopes for a top four finish alive in the nine team HOIAC.

The Rams are 11-12 overall and 4-2 in the league while the Norsemen are 7-0 in conference matches and 22-2 overall. The teams met earlier this season in a best two of three match at Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll with R-S winning two sets to none.

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has released postseason pairings. Greene County starts 3A Region 7 volleyball at Des Moines Christian High School in Urbandale vs. the host Lions on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. The winner meets either top seed Kuemper Catholic or Harlan Community in Carroll on Thursday, Oct. 22. The other four teams in Region 7 are Van Meter, Red Oak, Clarinda, and Atlantic.
