The city of Minburn continues to be under a boil advisory.

City officials say on Thursday there was a water main break on the north side of town with the Xenia Rural Water District. The city has advised its residents that a boil advisory continues to be in effect until further notice while crews with Xenia are fixing the issue. Residents are to boil their water for one minute before drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, or preparing food and then let it cool before using.

The city states that by boiling the water it will kill any bacteria and other organisms in the water. Residents can also use bottled water as well. The city adds that tap water can be used for bathing or other similar uses without having to boil it first. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
