The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football team are a couple days away from their seventh game of the season in Huxley, as they try to match their fast beginning from latest victory.

The Tigers recently scored their season high of 56 points against Des Moines North as ADM improved to 5-1. On the opening play of the game, Tigers Junior Quarterback Hudson Shull connected with Senior Wide Receiver Corbin Reed for 62 yards to the endzone to lead 7-0 16 seconds into the game. ADM would go on to score 35 points in the first quarter, pulling many of the starters after that. Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch admits that it’s satisfying to see the team in sync.

“We’re thrilled that we started fast. I think that’s the main thing. We kind of set the tone there with the bomb to Corbin, (and) he had a heck of a catch, but I think every area played pretty good, I mean that’s what you’re hoping for and got our second and third guys in there and gave them a chance, and I thought they also competed pretty well.”

The Tigers would go on to beat the Polar Bears 56-14. This Friday, ADM is hitting the road to Huxley to battle the 3-3 Ballard Bombers at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6pm.
