Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Greene County High School volleyball team lost at State Center to West Marshall on Monday night in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. The match went four sets with scores of 20-25, 25-27, 25-20, 24-26. .The Rams fell to 10-12 overall and 3-2 in the conference while the Trojans are now 5-1 in the league and 10-18 overall.

Coach Heisterkamp told Raccoon Valley Radio the Rams served at a low rate of 71%, She added, “In set two, we fought hard for an eight point lead, then we hit a wall, got stuck in one rotation, and lost 25-27. In set three, we looked more like our normal selves on the court with a steady pace. Then in set four, we led 24-22, but couldn’t get the job done.”

Senior Emma Shipley had four blocks while senior Violet Reedy and junior Lila Osterson each had two. Sophomore Bellah Johnson had 13 digs with 12 from senior Hailey Carman, 10 for senior Emma Ewalt, and six apiece for junior Addison Gannon and Reedy.
