Coach Jeff Lamoureux and the Greene County cross-country runners go to Lake City today for the South Central Calhoun Coed Meet. It’s the first of two meets in three days with the Saydel (Des Moines) meet coming up on Thursday.

The Rams will see some teams in Lake City they haven’t competed against this season, or not as of late. The Greene County boys have been solid this season with middle of the pack or upper division finishes consistently. Senior Noah Hinote has been the boys’ leader throughout the season. The two-time State Meet qualifier has a chance later this month to qualify for a third State competition, something only a handful of runners have accomplished in the 40-plus years a cross-country program has existed here.
