The City of Perry is warning residents to be advised that a street will be shut down for most of the week, as work starts today.

According to the city Perry Public Works will be repairing 10th Street from Highway 141 north to Pine Street. The city asks drivers to please avoid the area as traffic will be down to one lane to complete the project. Barring any delays, the road is scheduled to reopen on Thursday. According to the Public Works Department, more than 600 cubic yards of concrete and sidewalk has been replaced throughout the city this year.
