The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs football team now sit at 1-5 and 1-1 in Little Hawkeye District play as the Mustangs were shut out by the Norwalk Warriors. The Mustangs had a great drive to open the first quarter, with Chase Engle leading his Mustangs down to the 13 yard line. However, the Mustangs would go for it on fourth down and would turn the ball over to the Warriors. From here, the Warriors would have a dominate second quarter, scoring 4 touchdowns to put the score to 28-0 going into the halftime break.

Coming back from the halftime break, the Mustang defense would continue to hold on, keeping the Warriors from scoring until the final quarter. With six minutes left in the fourth, the Warriors would settle for a 46 yard field goal to bring the final score to 38-0.

The Mustangs now sit at 1-5 and 1-1 in district play. Dallas Center-Grimes now shift their focus and look to bounce back on Friday as they host the Glenwood Rams. We’ll have the Luellen Richardson Insurance pregame show at 6pm on KDLS2.
