Main Street Guthrie Center has a few events coming up this month.

Executive Director Lindsay Gilland says that the group has two of three October events on the same day. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio about their Fall Festival, which will be on the morning of October 12th.

“We thought it would be a great way to end our farmers market season by having our farmers market on one side of the street and then having all of our children’s activities on the other side of the street. And we also are a big advocate to help push other entities, other organizations and groups in our community, and what better way to also add in Relay for Life, as well as getting all of our Chamber members out there helping with that.”

Gilland mentions that the other event on October 12th is their Movie in the Park, which they are holding in conjunction with Mary J Barnett Library. She adds that they will be showing “Casper” at 7:30pm, and that individuals are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to have fun hanging out while watching the movie.
