The Bouton Fire and Rescue is recognizing the spooky month of October with haunted houses.
The organization is hosting its annual Bouton Haunted Church throughout October. According to Bouton Fire Department Treasurer Kelly Allis, this is the third year that the Fire and Rescue has done the haunted church. She adds that it will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, 109 South Street, in Bouton from 7-10pm. Allis shares that the state caught notice of their haunted church in 2023.
“We actually, I think made it in the top-10 haunted places on the list for Iowa last year, so that was pretty cool.”
Allis welcomes people of all ages to come out, as children 12 years old and younger cost $5, while anyone 13 years or older pay a $10 entry fee. During the month, the fire and rescue will host fun themed nights including “Black-Out Night,” and a “Halloween Night Haunt.”
